Jonah Goldberg

Bestselling author and founding editor of National Review Online

Romney Should Play It Uncool

“The trick for Romney isn’t to pander to young voters. He’ll never beat Obama and the Democrats at that game. But Romney can turn things to his advantage. He needs to contrast himself with Obama in ways that highlight Obama’s desperate need to seem cool to compensate for his failures … After four years of dashed expectations, a studiously uncool Romney might offer a welcome contrast to Obama’s audacity of hype.”

So writes Jonah Goldberg in a recent National Review column. You can meet Jonah, one of the most prominent young conservative journalists on the scene today, next Thursday. He’s one of the wittiest conservative pundits around, and he’ll talk about the Romney v. Obama matchup in November and will preview his newest book set to be released in May, entitled, The Tyranny of Cliches: How Liberals Cheat in the War of Ideas.” And yes, we will have advanced copies of the book available for you to purchase (price TBD, coming soon.)
